Karuna Rasa: The story of a Muffled Man
This poster was made for a short movie- Muffled. This was based on the Rasa-Karuna (Sadness). The poster shows the shoes of an Army General who is discharged with honour and finally is getting to see his family. He is happy to go back home to his beautiful wife and notorious twins: his daughter and his son who are now 10 years old. He wants to tell them about the situation of the country's border and the adrenaline boost he used to get when he was at the battle field. He wants to explain them how he feels that his service to the nation was worth the hardships he faced and most of all he wants to tell them that he missed them and loves them unconditionally. But there's just one problem, how should he tell them? He was discharged with honour but not because of retirement instead because he was severely injured in the war. He had recovered now, but not completely. The damage had been done and it was a permanent one. He was MUFFLED. He had two legs, two hands, two eyes, two ears, one nose and hair on his head, he could hear, see, sense and taste. But, he couldn't speak anymore. How will he tell his twins the glory details of the war? How will he tell his daughter that he read her card and wished to return sooner himself? He wishes that all would be well as he gets on the army bus for the last time now and waits for it as the bus journey is the only gap between him and his beloved family. He knows it is possible to overcome this. He knows it will take time. He wishes it didn't.
